Description: Engleman Spruce is a large, pyramidal shaped evergreen with a blue needle. It resembles Colorado Blue Spruce but tends to be a bit more narrow. It is native to high elevations but will perform well in the upper Midwest. St. Louis is considered the southernmost tip of what this plant can handle concerning heat and humidity. It has been suggested as a replacement for the struggling Colorado Blue Spruce in Iowa.
